Generation details

• Built-in image generation was attempted twice with the exact prompt saved at script/logs/daily-ai-news-collage/gemini-prompt_8-16-26.txt.
• The required freshness query returned no matching post-RUN_START ig_*.png file after either attempt because the built-in tool persisted differently named files.
• The current Codex session transcript was recovered with codex_extract_images.py; the last extracted PNG was selected and verified as a genuine 2,868,440-byte RGB PNG at exactly 1024×1536.
• Gemini fallback was not used.

Delivery and publish

• Commit/push result: Initial artifact commit 514f19aa pushed successfully to origin/mike_desktop before email delivery.
• AgentMail email result: Attachment sent successfully; no notification-only fallback was needed.

Issues

• The second and final built-in render added an extra opening quotation mark before the otherwise correctly spelled Indiana caption. All six panels, required story captions, non-likeness treatment, and the timestamp are present and readable.
